First apartment setup checklist

1. 1Request meter readings for electricity, gas, and hot water on the day you move in and document them with photos and written confirmation.▼
2. 2Register for electricity and gas supply in your name using the official supplier portals. Confirm whether the landlord handles this or you must register directly.▼
3. 3Set up home internet: confirm the building infrastructure, negotiate a contract with a local ISP, and allow 5–10 business days for installation.▼
4. 4Register your declared address at the local seniūnija within the required legal period. Failure may affect your residency permit conditions.▼
5. 5Keep all utility contracts, meter readings, payment receipts, and the rental contract in one accessible folder from day one.▼
