How guidance is reviewed

Every guide names its source

A guide is not published unless it records where its content came from. That is stored on the record itself, not written into the prose, so the badge you see on a guide is the actual state of that record rather than a claim in the text.

What the verification labels mean

Official institution
The source is the responsible Lithuanian institution itself: for example Migracijos departamentas for permits, or Sodra for social insurance.
Verified from website
Taken from the organisation’s own official website, with the URL recorded on the guide.
Admin-reviewed source
A source that is not an institution but has been read and accepted by a reviewer, with the reason recorded.
Pending review
Submitted but not yet checked. Records at this level are not published.
Needs recheck
Previously verified, but the source has changed or enough time has passed that it must be read again.

When sources disagree

Institutions sometimes publish conflicting details, or a page changes without notice. When we detect that, the guide is flagged and held back from the assistant and from search results rather than quietly showing one of the two answers.

Dates, not just badges

Each guide shows when it was last verified. Immigration rules change; a guide that was correct a year ago may not be correct now, and the date is there so you can judge that for yourself rather than trusting a badge alone.

Tell us when something is wrong

Every guide has a feedback control, and every section has a gap reporter for the case where the thing you needed simply is not there. Both go to the review queue. Reports about out-of-date official information are the most useful thing you can send us.
